On a monthly basis, the Office of Energy Policy and Innovation’s Division of Energy Market Assessments publishes seven natural gas market assessment reports, including regional, national, and trading reports. The five regional reports detail natural gas prices and consumption by region. The five regions include the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West, and Gulf. The National Overview Report details three-month weather forecasts, U.S. natural gas supply and demand, natural gas consumed for electricity generation (power burn), natural gas storage inventories (by region and nationwide), U.S. dry gas production, leading indicators of natural gas production (count of oil rigs and natural gas rigs), liquified natural gas (LNG) exports and landed prices, and Canadian imports. The Natural Gas Trading Report contains monthly data on Heating Degree Days (HDDs), Cooling Degree Days (CDDs), fuel prices, natural gas liquids (NGL), and NYMEX futures curves and settlement prices.
