Each April, FERC recognizes Take Your Child to Work Day (TYCTWD) for the children of FERC employees. Traditionally, this day has been an opportunity for parents or caregivers to give their child(ren) a glimpse into the working world. It’s a chance to show them that they can aspire to be anything they dream to be. But the past few years have been less than traditional because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has put a considerable strain on families and school systems – between school closures, virtual learning, and childcare shortages. Suddenly, every day is Take Your Child to Work Day. To lessen the strain on already stressed parents and caregivers and to recognize Take Your Child to Work Day, FERC is celebrating 2022 TYCTWD by showcasing the talents of FERC employees’ children.
